    Who We Are

    Killain Angus was established in 2013. It is owned and operated by Richard and Susie Duddy, along with their two sons, Benjamin and Thomas. The stud is located in the famed Goonoo Goonoo area in Tamworth NSW.

    From the very start, the stud was set up as a sister stud to the world famous Schaff Angus Valley, located in North Dakota USA, which means that Killain Angus is 100% based on this elite genetic line. From the beginning, Killain Angus was established with the commercial cattleman as it's number 1 priority. We have been a major supplier to Australia’s premier Angus feedlot, Ranges Valley, in Northern NSW for many years and therefore fully understand the requirements for the commercial beef industry.

    Since the establishment of Killain Angus in 2013, we have imported and utilised embryos and semen from the finest SAV donors and sires in our breeding program.

    Only the very best genetics of the SAV program can be found at Killain Angus. We pride ourselves and our program on the continuing relationship we have built with SAV since the beginning.

    Following the initial importation of frozen embryos, a 19-month-old junior bull, Killain Alaska K18, was awarded at the best Angus Exhibit at the 2016 RAS Sydney Royal Easter Show. He boasted outstanding figures of 986kg,  an EMA of 132 sqcm and a rib fat of 12 and 20. 

    Killain Alaska K18 was also a member of the Champion of Champions Hordern Trophy winning Angus team, reported to be the only time a first-time entrant has done so.

    See below the newest addition to the Killain Sire Battery, SAV America 8018. America not only has the highest 205 day weaning weight in SAV history (1107lbs), but also in the entire US Angus register.

    Semen and Embryos are being imported for the 2019 spring joining and will be available for sale in 2021.
