King Island
King Island offers us an opportunity to follow our progeny right throughout their journey. All bulls are bred at Killain Angus, Tamworth and sent down to our properties on King Island for joining.
King Island is arguably Australia’s most reliable and productive cattle country, located off the coast of North West Tasmania. With a temperate climate that does not go below 5 degrees and rarely goes over 25 degrees. Frost free with a 50 inch (1250mm) average rainfall, with rain being spread evenly across the year.
High carrying capacity that runs one cow and bullock to the hectare (1,000 cows finishing the progeny to approx. 600kgs on 2,500 acres).
Pure natural grass (rye grass and white clover, along with a sprinkle of fescue and cocksfoot). No bloat, even with the abundance of white clover due, to the large amount of salt blown across the pastures year after year.
Cleanest air in the world producing the best beef!
